ASC/TERT1

hTERT immortalized human adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cell line

The cells are characterized by unlimited growth while maintaining expression of cell type specific markers and functions such as:

  • Typical fibroblastoid morphology, adherent growth
  • Expression of mesenchymal stem cell markers CD73, CD90 and CD105; no expression of CD34
  • Differentiation towards the adipogenic, osteogenic and chondrogenic lineages
  • Inhibition of PBMC proliferation, immunomodulatory properties

Therefore, these cells are the only solution for gene editing using e.g. the CRISPR/Cas9 system when primary like characteristics are of importance. Furthermore, in collaboration with The Human Protein Atlas next generation sequencing was performed and data are available for download to support your decision process in selecting cells that are fit for purpose - get these data after log in from our database.
